So, what to say. I'm a 19 year old Fashion Management student who one day hopes to have a pet monkey. I have been completely and utterly infatuated with the fashion industry since before I could tie my laces and count to five and indefinitely, it is what motivates me in life. My passion for fashion design goes beyond anything in this world, however with a growing desire for fashion journalism and financial merchandising, yes I'm a maths geek, my preferred targeted area in the industry has become one of question. 

My real drive for the fashion industry definitely stemmed from Alexander McQueen, RIP; and in my eyes he will always be the heart of the ever-changing body of the fashion industry. His work is so overwhelming I can't even begin to talk about it without getting emotional and this was most definitely shown in my presentation on him in uni; yes I welled up, but only slightly ok! He demonstrated everything the fashion industry should exploit and more, and by giving such a personal input into his works of art, he created raw beauty. His collection 'Highland Rape' way back in 1995 took the industry by storm as he contradicted everything fashion had represented up until that point and with much disregard from the public and members of the fashion industry McQueen powered through and turned any negativity in positivity and established himself in the centre of the revolutionary fashion industry. 

To me, fashion is not just the clothes we wear. It is who we are, how we live and what influences all aspects of our life. Fashion should mould you into the person you wish to become and this is why I have such a fascination with the industry and everything it connotates. I started Fashion Formula to share my views on fashion and further enhance my love for the industry and the general concept of fashion. I aim to cover all aspects in my blog from your standard high street brands, to designer, to emerging designers, trends and parts of life which influence fashion, such as countries, music and art. I hope you enjoy what you read, I'm not your average girl so I do like to babble random weirdness, but that's just me. Happy reading.
