Bikini Season Minus the Bikini Bod

I am going travelling this summer, island hopping around Croatia - and then wherever else the sunshine takes me, so I have been spending a lot of time bikini shopping. This would be total bliss if I was bikini season ready and I really should get my ass in gear and cut the carbs seeing as I am literally spending a month in a bikini and currently resemble a baby elephant, but for now I just need to pretend I have Michelle Keegan's bod so I focus on getting some beaut bikinis to dance in till sundown. I am going to share with you some of the bikini's I have already purchased and some that are on the wish list for my shopping spree next week and really, just share the swimwear love!

So I blogged a while back about Irish brand Custom Vintage Dublin and for those who don't remember, CVD are most recognisable for their personal customisation of vintage levi shorts tailored to your liking! Well, this summer CVD are also stocking some fab bikini's so I got one ordered the other day and I am in love!! I ordered the tribal print bikini in pink, which you can see below, but they also have a fab range of other one's including crochet designs and brazilian styles for those of you who bare a Kim K ass and are prepared to flaunt it! ALSOOOO, for those of you with the depop app, they currently have some designer pieces for sale on their account @cvd including pieces by Ed Hardy and Victoria's Secret! So go check it out and for those who have not yet downloaded depop, get on the app store and get downloading, your bank balance will never be the same again. Check out CVD's full swimwear range by clicking here.

Tribal Print Bikini in Pink 25 euros
I ordered size medium bottoms (size 10) but they are a bit big and it's fair to say I have a bit of a bootay, so for those of you who consider your bum a 10, I would opt for the small       (size 6-8)

Monsoon and Accessorize is an obvious choice for the swimwear season and I got some gorgeous pieces last summer and they've certainly not let me down this season! They have a wide variation in styles ladies so whether you're a bandeau beauty or a halterneck hunnie they definitely have something in stock for you. I recently bought the Carly Crochet Bikini in Black and it is actually stunning, I am so happy with it. They have a similar one in a pale turquoise which I am dying for, however, it is out of stock online so I am now on a mission to track it down in store! To view Monsoon and Accessorize's full range of bikini's click here.

Carly Crochet Bikini Top - £19

Carly Crochet Bikini Bottoms - £15

The next place I purchased a couple of bikini's may come as a surprise but they are actually pretty freakin' awesome so let the haters hate, I ain't biting. If you haven't guessed, this luxury designer retailer was George at Asda. I picked up two bikinis here and they are pretty fab so I am a happy gal. Don't get me wrong, much of the swimwear is stuff that wouldn't be exactly my first choice but there are some extremely cheap steals in amongst them all! Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself by clicking here.

Laser Cut Bikini - Top £3, Bottoms £2

Aztec Print Bikini - Top £1, Bottoms £1

These are the four bikinis I have currently purchased, however my swimwear search ain't over yet. If you're looking for some high-waisted hotties head over to Urban Outfitters, they have amazing styles and prints and I cant wait to go in next week. Also if you have a bit of extra dolla to spend they currently have some amazing bikinis by various designers including Stussy and Tallow Gallery. Click here to view their full range of swimwear.

If you're after just a pair of plain black bottoms, which lets face it are a holiday essential, head over to Zara and let them take it from there. Aside from that, they have some pretty cool printed bikinis which may take your fancy! Click here to view their beachwear.

Obviously this is a few mere choices, but these are just to get you going with some swimsperation, otherwise this post would be hours long of me babbling on about all these million dolla bikinis I am lusting over.  Anyway, toodalooooooo xoxo

P.s with regards to the lack of bikini body situation I am currently back on the 5:2 diet and doing the 30 day Ab Challenge. I did the 5:2 last year and I lost weight really quickly on it and I am only half way through the ab challenge and can already see a difference! So for anyone wanting to shift the pounds and tone up for summer I recommend the same. Stay clear of the shake diets and what not, you may lose weight fast but the minute you stop you balloon in a heart beat. Trust me I experienced it first hand, it wasn't fun. xoxo

The Failure of a Fashion Blogger

And the award for world's worst blogger goes to moi. Yes, it has in fact been six months since my last post but I have spent a semester studying things that don't agree with my brain and they have taken control of my poor excuse for a social life. However, now I am back I'm working on a revamp of my blog and as you will see I am no longer Viral Vintage, sob! The name change is due to the fact I was swaying from my vintage routes and found myself focusing on a wider wardrobe of fashion orientated topics! I'm still dabbling with the design of my new blog and whatnot but I like birds so they are staying for now; even though they are not relevant, but they are cool.. ok. I will find something more people will appreciate soon, maybe. Anyway, I am going travelling for a month or till I run out of money so I will be absent again for a wee while from mid july, but for now I am here, un-manicured nails at the ready, to fill your heads with my fashion nonsense. I am so cringe, I know.
Anyway, stay posted. xoxo

Three Floor Fashion S/S 14

Apologies, I would have wrote about this fabulous collection when it launched last Monday, however, due to my exam, I've had to sort my priorities out and attend to that before exclaiming my love for this new collection.

So, it's inevitable how much I admire and dream of Three Floor Fashion's collections and for anyone that keeps up to date with my posts, you'll have seen my numerous, previous posts on them and how much I get excited about their garments. I've been waiting in desperate anticipation for this collection and undoubtedly, it has not let me down whatsoever. With such a wide array for style, colour and texture, I expected no less, it's no wonder my eyes have been fixated on their website the past week. Anyway, enough rambling and lets get to the good stuff.

One of my favourite things about Three Floor Fashion is the names they give to their garments. They're just so utterly fabulous and quirky and really personalises each garment. As Three Floor continues to gain a more prominent place in the industry,  their clothes continue to grow in strength and beauty. As always, the collection consists of two distinctive persona's, allowing every fashionista to portray the mood and look they so desire. I am going to get going with the darker side of things, seeing as it's still winter and gloomy days and these garments are indescribably perfect for bringing a spark into that gloom.

We got metallics, we got midnight blue allure and oh baby have we got pattern and texture exquisiteness! As always, to save myself from writing a short story, I'm going to write about my personal favourite pieces of each type of garment persona, so for the intricately devious, dark-side of this magnificent collection, I am going to ramble about the 'Behaviour Self' dress and the 'Whos Who' dress; both of which being a perfect exploitation of what I meant when defining the names of their garments as 'fabulous and quirky'.

Introducing the 'Behaviour Self' Dress.
The composition and intricacy of this dress is to die for. The shape in combination with the texture is profoundly magnificent, with such an elegant and streamlining shape, whilst simultaneously demonstrating the meaning of texture. In complete and utter contradiction to the name of this dress, 'Behaviour Self', this dress connotates fierceness and the ultimate risk factor combined with the power of underlying sex appeal. The nude side panelling and the delicate black lace screams sexual deviant, however, the beauty and structure of the dress tones this down and as a result, portrays the perfect combination of heaven meets hell. So go on girls, behave yourself, or not, in the 'Behaviour Self' dress.
'Behaviour Self' Dress - £178

The 'Whos Who' Dress.
Oh my god. Colour and shape. The two ultimate factors which have worked together to magnificently create this stunning work of art. Firstly, let me just say, the blue!!!! This shade of blue possesses such a royal yet electric personality which is just perfect to work in conjunction with the shape and structure of this dress. The loose fitting form of the body of the dress is complemented and contrasted extensively with the prominent, shapely skirt, overall giving a flamboyant and magnificent shape. By keeping the colour scheme minimalistic, it allows the two prominent colours to contradict and accentuate each other and this is specifically demonstrated, so utterly beautifully, in the delicate, floral pattern. This dress is so fabulous and I seriously need it in my life. It's the fresh cream and strawberry sponge of cakes; it's fresh, it's beautiful inside and out and excels the taste of all the simplistic sponges.
'Whos Who' Dress - £98

So, now my dear friend, I will lead you into the light. Yes, follow me as we explore the lighter, more angelic side of this collection; none the less, still as equally, tremendously stunning. This side of the collection possesses everything you need to leap gracefully into spring, whilst still maintaining the double E persona; elegance and enticement. So let's get cracking with my two favourite pieces and twit twooooooo girls, are they a pair of beauties.

Firstly, the 'Sicily' Playsuit. The structure of this playsuit is so intricate which really enhances the elegance of the design. The delicate straps round the neck are so fragile yet so beautiful, whilst the elaborate detailing of the lace on the body of the garment just further intensifies the elegance of the garment. The yellow of the dress is just so utterly perfect for the season of spring, radiating such an incandescent happiness and raw beauty. The nude underlay and cut out segments of the garment are the main contributing factor to its enticing component, creating a pure yet understated sex appeal. This playsuit as a whole though, oh wow, its playful yet gorgeous, perfect for soaking up the rays when those days of sunshine finally come!
'Sicily' Playsuit - £145

Finally, the one I have been waiting for in an overwhelming state of ecstatic excitement.
The 'Pleats and Thankyou' Dress.
Words cannot put into place just how beautiful this dress is, but I'm sure as hell going to give it a shot. The fluidity of the shape of this dress is purely mesmerising, with the soft flowing chiffon of the skirt flowing gracefully to knee length. The powder blue of the skirt and top detailing of the dress is so gentle and comforting and works perfectly for draping round the hips giving such a beautiful focal point. In contradiction to this heavenly colour, the harshness of the black strips and intricate lace, work perfectly to contrast the elements of the dress and give praise and beauty to all aspects. The nude underlay on both the back and front again give the provocative illusion whilst still portraying a dress of innocence. On a whole, this dress is just so profoundly stunning that the English language cannot begin to put it into the words it deserves.
'Pleats and Thankyou' Dress - £210

So there it is, Three Floor Fashion's SS14 collection. I hope you have become as infatuated as I am, and if so, please go explore the rest of their flawless collection by clicking here. I promise, you will not regret it.
Love and colour. x

Happy New Year Wishes and 2014 Fashion Kisses

Firstly, Happy freakin' New Year lovelies! I hope you all had an absolutely fabulous Christmas and New Year filled with lots and lots and lots of bubbly and drop dead gorgeous party frocks! I know it's slightly overdue, but I feel like bragging a lil bit about my amazing xmas pressies seeing as I got spoilt rotten last year.. Yes last year, how weird is that to say! Anyway, yea, back to me being a totally spoilt princess.
One of the pro's of having a blog is if you write about something you love and you have an adoring mother who reads your blog religiously, chances are some of the fabulous things you write about, may end up under the tree on Christmas morning. What I am really getting at here is, I finally got my 'Show me the bunny' tee from Black Score. Uh hu hunnieeeeee. (voice from Kanye West's song, Bound 2) God am I in babbling mode. Moving on from my swagtastic tee........ I also got spoilt with a beaaaaaaautiful Michael Kors watch and a belter of an Alexander McQueen scarf. My watch has a stunning navy/indigo leather strap so I'm not categorized in the cliché Michael Kors watch category, consisting of the gold, rose and silver link straps, but the face still has that bling to make me feel all girly and sparkly. My scarf, oh my days. Reverse print. Tartan on one side, and fabulous McQueen writing on the reverse side. It's so freakin' awesome, be jealous people. Aside from all this I got all the usual necessities, Issey Miyake perfume, benefit cosmetics, onesie; you know the drill. So much Christmas spoiling love.
Ok so 2014 is here and I'ma keep blogging to my hearts content. I need to get my vintage paws out and during my time at home I'm going to just have to venture into all the vintage stores in Glasgow and do my research/splash the dollaaaaa. Has to be done. Sorry mum. Been thinking about starting some 'What I'm wearing posts' for anyone that's interested in my 'I got dressed in the dark' attire, but to start doing this I need to hit the gym first. So give me time. For now, I'm attaching my Instagram to my blog, so feel free to check it out. I tend to post tragic mirror selfies of my outfits and of course an endless cycle of images of all the food I like to indulge in... So then again, you may not want to check it out.
Anyway lovelies, until we meet again.
Love and wishes for 2014 x

Five Dresses to Jingle the Day Away

Ooooooh I'm so excited. Giving some more festive praise as I am now in Christmas overload!! Last night I had my first Christmas dinner with my Aberdeen gals in my flat and OH MY GOD, the food was so amazing I wanted to climb into it and eat my way out. However, seeing as that's not really acceptable even for me, I opted to eat like a normal person and I plan to devour the left overs later today. Yumalicious!
Anywaaaaaay, so seeing as Christmas day is so freakin' close, I've decided to write a wee post on some absolutely fabulous dresses just oh so perfect, for this magical day!! All Saints, 'Ivy Long Sleeved Dress' - £208.50
Cor blimeeeey, this is a beauty.

This is the perfect dress if you're wanting to play glitzy glam dress up and will really put a twinkle in your eye, under the tree this Christmas.

Dress number 2
Topshop, '60s Fluff Crop Dress' - £65
I'm sorry but could you actually get a dress more festive than this?
Didn't think so.
The crop overlay of this dress gives a gorgeous structure, topped off with some red fluffy loving, well I just don't know except it's simply wonderful!
Go on and give Santa's red suit a run for its money with this beautiful wee red number!

Dress number 3

The beauty of Christmas day is that you can wear exactly what you want and no-one can tell you you're overdressed.
That's why this absolutely stunning dress from French Connection is so divinely perfect for getting your glad rags on!
The attention to detail of the hand beaded sequins is utterly magical on this dress, if I had it, I think I would make a shrine for it.
Perfect.

Dress number 4
Urban Outfitters, 'Cooperative Velvet Collar Dress' - £68
For the more subtle, dress up girl.
Don't get me wrong, this dress is utterly magnificent, I am OBSESSED with velvet.
Seriously, the only thing I don't have that is velvet is underwear, but give me time...
Anyway, this dress is so beautiful in it's own element and creates beauty in a more refined way than the other dresses.
The peter pan lace collar just rounds the dress off, with texture, detail and design all complimenting each other excessively here.
This dress cannot go wrong this Christmas day.

Dress number five
Warehouse, 'Leather and Feather Dress' - £110
TEXTURE BABY.
We have leather, we have feathers and oh gurrrrrl have we got style!
This dress is so freakin' fantastic, it ticks all the boxes.

Twinkle Those Toes with Charlotte Olympia

God I'm a sucker for some festive lovin'. Grab your Santa hats and candy canes guys as this post is giving some merry appreciation to Charlotte Olympia's Crimbo-tastic, fancy footwear. I don't really think Miss Charlotte needs much of an introduction, as let's face it shoes are to woman as what the dog is to man; their best friend, and Charlotte the wee gem has got the art of footwear down to every last inch of the heel. However, for all of you not so familiar, I will give you a quick intro to this lovely lady.
Charlotte Olympia Dellal is a London based shoe designer with a passion for footwear and and a flair for sparkle. She launched her fabulous footwear brand in 2008 and since then her brand has grown in strength, beauty and oh so amazingness. Aside from perfecting the art of footwear, Charlotte Olympia also sells some brilliantly quirky bags and some cutesie wee accessories.
So the Christmas season is now in full swing; mistletoe a-hangin', champagne bottles popping and that perfect little xmas dress is wearing you like it was born on you. So what better way to top it all off than with a pair of festive shoes to really set the eyes on you!? Charlotte Olympia's Christmas collection of footwear features eight different shoes, all perfectly themed for the Santa season, and with a variety so ranged, there is most definitely a style for everyone.

Shoe numero uno..
'All I Want' - £795
Elongate your pins in your very own wrapped up present toesies this Christmas.
The 'All I Want' shoes will work wonders for your legs with their block wedge, in this quirky, xmas pressie inspired manner and will transform any simplistic outfit into something simply wonderful.

Number two..
'Festive' - £625
Oh baby the delicacy and intricacy of these shoes is just too magical.
The slender black heel and fine suede ankle strap just screams elegance, in a more reserved, admirable way of course. Continuing the festive spirit, Charlotte finishes off these beauties with a gold bow, the perfect finish to any present. (present of shoes from me to me?)

Trois et quatre..

    'Holly' - £595 & 'Glitter Kitty' - £495
These two adorable pair of pumps are simply just too devinely cute for words!!
For all who are previous lovers of Charlotte Olympia you should be aware of her ever relevant, seasonal pumps. For example, take her Halloween sensations, which featured pumpkin designed pumps and fanged black cats; the perfect combination of eccentricity meets style. These two however, are perfect for this season on a more dressed down kinda day; beaaaaautiful.

No. 5
'Jingle Bell Dolly' - £625
Jingle all the way with these baby's!
Give Dorothy's red slippers a run for their money this season with these sensually red, stunners! These are definitely another pair for elongating those pins girls, so get something mini on and hit the town. The adorable gold bell ankle strap is detachable, so if you're not feeling like having your own soundtrack to your step, off it slips and away you go! The ultimate festive colours and the ultimate festive shoe. Perfecto!

The sixth fix..
'Kiss Me Dolly' - £625
Just like the 'Jingle Bell Dolly' these wee beauties also show off their classy, yet festive, luxurious gold platform. Who needs to hang the mistletoe when you can wear it on your shoe? Add some festive magic to the LBD this season with these quirky yet elegant shoes this winter.

Seven Heaven..
'Noelle' - £895
Snow booties meet the fashionista.
Dress them up or dress them down, you decide. These festive boots are just too perfectably wearable this season. The pure white of the boot with the contrast of the heel and platform is gorgeous, topped off the with the attentive lace-up front and luxurious rabbit fur trim, these boots are a true masterpiece. They make me want to go dashing through the snow, however, I don't think that would be too clever in a six inch heel...

And finally, number eight..
'Surprise' - £725
For the more subtly beautiful lady out there, Charlotte has designed 'Surprise'.
These shoes are so beautifully dainty and elegant and the finish of the bow over the caged peep-toes is profoundly stunning. These shoes would go absolutely perfectly with a black jumpsuit this season, drawing just enough attention to the shoe allowing you to shine in all your beauty too. Twit twoooo.
P.s don't forget to paint your toes!

So there you have it, Charlotte Olympia's magnificent shoe collection for Christmas. I hope this provides some festive inspiration and has bestowed upon you some love for Miss Charlotte herself! To have a look at all her masterpieces or to just have a little nosey click here to go to her website.
And whatever you decide to dress your toes in, make sure they sparkle away as much as you this Christmas season.
In the wise words of Charlotte herself, 'The higher the heel, the better you feel'.
Love and jingle bells. x
